Luellen Smiley is a Creative Nonfiction lifestyle writer and award-winning newspaper columnist. She has been a regular contributor to MORE Magazine. Her “Growing Up with Gangsters” stories appeared in the New York Post and throughout San Diego. She recently completed a memoir, CRADLE OF CRIME-A Daughters Tribute. Her extensive research led to numerous TV and Documentary interviews, on Benjamin Siegel, her father’s best friend and business partner. Previously she founded a jazz-funk-hip-hop dance troupe in San Diego, opened two galleries of rock & roll photography in the southwest. She is currently a full-time writer.
